Breathwork
Release what’s ready.
Receive what’s waiting.
Using guided breathing techniques, my breathwork sessions will help you release stored charge, regulate your nervous system, and create space for transformation.
What is breathwork?
Breathwork is an active, experiential practice that uses structured breathing patterns to shift your state—physically, emotionally, and energetically. Through conscious connected breathing, three-part pranayama, breath holds, and intentional pacing, you’ll be guided into deep rest and integration.
My breathwork sessions weave emotionally resonant music with guided waves of energy that build toward a powerful peak before settling into a spacious, restorative receiving period. The journey supports both activation and integration—you release what's ready to move, then receive what wants to emerge.
You're the one doing the work. You're cultivating your relationship with your energy, your breath, and the wider universe. You choose when to push, when to soften, and how deeply to meet yourself.
Why breathwork helps
Nervous system regulation
Conscious breathing patterns shift your body out of survival mode, dissolving tension and re-establishing internal safety.Emotional processing and release
Emotions like grief, frustration, fear, and overwhelm that have been stored in your body can finally move, creating lightness and freedom.Energetic clearing
Breathwork helps you release stored charge and clear patterns so you can embrace the current moment with more clarity and ease.Building capacity
As you practice working with intense sensations and emotions, you strengthen your ability to hold more energy without collapsing or shutting down.
Connection to Source
When you release control and are open to allowing, you naturally attune to universal flow, allowing creativity, insight, and support to arise.Embodiment and presence
Breathwork brings you back into your body, your breath, and your present moment—the only place transformation actually happens.
Conscious, intentional breathing brings you back to center.
What to expect from your session
The process is gentle, non-invasive, and designed to meet you exactly where you are. Your first session expands your understanding of how your personal energy field operates and influences your physical body. You get to play with and get to know your own energy field. This work is cumulative and builds over time. Each session deepens integration and supports greater harmony within your field.
During the session
You'll lie down on your back with a bolster under your knees if desired. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing an eye mask. You'll breathe through your mouth using a breathing pattern. You may feel sensations, emotions, memories, insights, or simply deep relaxation. Some people have profound experiences. Others feel subtle shifts. Both are completely valid, and every breathwork session will be unique
Build
The energy builds toward a powerful peak. The music intensifies. You're invited to breathe fully and meet whatever arises. You stay attuned to your body and choose how deeply to go.Release
The breathing pattern begins to move your energy. You may feel tingling, temperature shifts, emotional waves, or physical sensations. Some people cry, laugh, or move their bodies. All responses are welcome.Receive
The breathing softens into a restorative receiving period. The music becomes spacious and gentle. Your nervous system settles. You integrate what moved through you.
After the session
Most people feel lighter, clearer, and more present. Energy that you’ve been holding or resisting has moved. Some people feel energized and alive. Others feel deeply relaxed and ready to rest. You may have clarity about something that's been weighing on you or simply feel more spacious in your body. Drink plenty of water and honor whatever your system needs.
"Being in a breathwork session with Janet was truly magical. Her calming, nonjudgmental presence instantly put me at ease and made me feel safe. Since I'm relatively new to breathwork, I also appreciated that she removed any pressure to do it 'right' and encouraged us to listen to our bodies. I left feeling more grounded, calmer, and lighter—like I could float home!"

Yes. I cater each session to meet you where you are. You just need curiosity and willingness to try something that might feel unfamiliar. I'll guide you through the breathing pattern and encourage you to listen to your body throughout.

Yes. Virtual breathwork sessions over Zoom are just as powerful as in-person sessions. You'll need a quiet space where you can lie down undisturbed, a bolster or pillow for under your knees, and headphones or good speakers for the music. If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, or Oregon, check out my calendar for In-person sessions.

Breathwork is generally safe, but please review this list of contraindications before booking. And if you're pregnant, have cardiovascular issues, seizure disorders, or are dealing with active mental health crises, please contact me before booking to discuss your specific situation. Please be aware that breathwork can be healing and a wild adventure all at the same time. Some big things can happen in breathwork, like memories resurfacing after years or decades. If you’re not ready for that, then set the intention.

Meditation typically involves stillness and gentle breathing. Breathwork is a more dynamic practice, using conscious breath to invite sensation and release, followed by a natural settling into calm and clarity.
-
Breathwork is a single modality focused on moving energy through active breathing. The mentorship is a comprehensive eight-week process that includes breathwork sessions alongside Biofield Tuning, framework discussions, and daily practice within the Release Build Receive process.

You don't have to. Listen to your body. If you need to slow down, pause, or breathe normally for a bit, do that. The goal is to stay connected to yourself and breathe in the way that feels right for you in each moment.
-
Maybe. Some people cry, laugh, shake, or move through big waves of emotion. Others have subtle, quiet experiences. Both are valid. There's no "right" way to do breathwork. Whatever happens for you is what needs to happen.
